Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Reverse Math Puzzle ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

These Terms apply to all users of the App, including users who access the App through the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or any other distribution platform.

2. Eligibility and Children

The App is not directed at children. Do not use it if you are under 13 (or under 16 where your local law sets a higher age for consent to data processing). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under those ages. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it. In-app purchases require the account holder to be at least 18, or to have a parent's or guardian's approval.

3. License to Use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the App on a device you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial entertainment purposes, in accordance with these Terms and the applicable app store's terms of service.

You may not:

• Copy, modify, or distribute the App or any part of it
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code
• Use the App for any commercial purpose or for any public display
• Remove or alter any proprietary notices within the App
• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the App
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any portion of the App or its infrastructure

4. In-App Purchases

The App offers optional in-app purchases, including coin packs and an ad-free upgrade. All purchases are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play and are subject to their respective terms.

• All purchases are final. We generally do not offer refunds for completed purchases, except as required by applicable law or app store policy.
• Virtual currency (coins) and purchased items have no real-world monetary value and cannot be transferred, traded, or redeemed for cash.
• We reserve the right to modify pricing, availability, or the contents of in-app purchases at any time.
• If the App is updated or discontinued, access to purchased features may change, though we will make reasonable efforts to honour prior purchases where technically possible.

5. Virtual Currency & Items

Coins, streak freezes and other virtual items exist only inside the App. They have no cash value, are not your property, and cannot be transferred, sold, traded or exchanged for money. We may change, reset or remove them as the App changes. We do not give refunds ourselves: refunds for purchases are handled by Apple or Google under their rules, and by applicable law where it applies.

6. Intellectual Property

The App, including all content, graphics, code, sounds, user interface design, and trademarks, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You acquire no ownership interest in the App by using it.

"Reverse Math Puzzle" and associated logos are our trademarks. You may not use them without our prior written consent.

7. Advertisements

The free version of the App may display advertisements. Ads are optional in most cases (e.g., you can choose to watch an ad to earn bonus coins). Purchasing the ad-free upgrade removes all advertising. Ads are served by third parties (Google AdMob) and we are not responsible for the content of third-party advertisements.

8. Battles, the Leaderboard & Display Names

Battles and the Daily leaderboard are optional. Your display name, avatar, score and time (and nothing else, such as your email or location) appear on the Daily top list and on any battle you create or join. Anyone with a battle's link or code can see that battle's board, including people who are not in it. Don't use your real name or anything private as your display name.

Display names must not be offensive, hateful or sexual, impersonate someone, or contain personal information or links. Other players can report a name. We filter names automatically and may rename, hide, suspend or delete a profile, a battle or a score that breaks these rules, without notice.

Fair play. Results are checked by our servers. We may remove results or profiles that we believe come from cheating, automation or tampering, and limit how often you can create battles or change your name.

Deleting your profile. You can delete your game profile at any time in Settings → Delete my profile (app) or in your profile (web). Your name, avatar and results are removed from every board. Battles you created stay available to the friends in them, with you shown as "Deleted player". Your coins, streak and game progress stay on your device.

Battles and the leaderboard are provided as they are. We may change, limit or stop them, reset leaderboards, or remove old battles (kept for up to 97 days).

9. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the App, you consent to the data practices described in the Privacy Policy.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We do not warrant that defects in the App will be corrected. We make no promise that the App, its servers, puzzles, scores, leaderboards or battles will be available, accurate, or kept. We may remove or reset any of them.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, REVENUE, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE APP — EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

Our total liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $10 USD, whichever is greater. Some places do not allow these limits, so they apply only as far as the law allows.

12. Modifications to the App & Terms

We reserve the right to update, modify, suspend, or discontinue the App (or any part of it) at any time without notice. We also reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date and may tell you in the App or on our website. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App, or delete your profile, scores or battles, at any time and without notice if you violate these Terms or misuse the App. You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device. Termination does not entitle you to a refund of any purchases made.

14. Third-Party Services & Links

The App integrates third-party services, including Google AdMob (ads), RevenueCat (purchases), Firebase (analytics, notifications, our servers) and Sentry (crash reports); see our Privacy Policy for details. These services have their own terms of service which govern their use. We are not responsible for the content or practices of any third-party services.

15. Your Responsibility

You are responsible for how you use the App. If your misuse of the App, your breach of these Terms or your violation of someone's rights leads to a claim against us, you agree to cover our reasonable losses from that claim, as far as the law allows.

16. Other Terms

If a part of these Terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a part of these Terms is not giving it up. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the App.

17. Resolving Disputes and Governing Law

If you have a problem, email us first and give us 30 days to try to sort it out informally. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute that is not resolved informally shall be resolved in the courts located in California, unless applicable law provides otherwise.

18. App Store Additional Terms

If you downloaded the App from Apple App Store, you also agree that: (a) these Terms are between you and us only, not Apple; (b) Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for the App; (c) Apple is not responsible for any product warranties; (d) Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms.

If you downloaded the App from Google Play, Google's terms of service also apply to your use of the App.
